About me
I'm on the job market for 2025!!! Open to academic and industry research roles focused on Human-Centered, Cross-cultural, and Responsible AI.
I am a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Michigan School of Information, advised by Kentaro Toyama.. My research is at the intersection of HCI and NLP to study the existing and missing cultural contexts in technologies. I focus on (a) understanding the cultural knowledge and biases encoded in language models, and (b) understanding how cultural norms and values drive user interaction with technologies. Prior to this, I completed my MS in Computer & Information Science (2018) at the University of Pennsylvania, where I was advised by Prof. Lyle Ungar, and BE in Information Technology (2016) at AIT, University of Pune.
Industry Experience
